Just reading all the drama related to the movie 'American Sniper"
Everyone is jumping on Moore - of course with a plethora of fat comments. Super mature.
I understand what he is saying.. did he need to say it?
Probably not but he isn't one known for keeping his thoughts to himself.
Ironically, and sadly.. all of this is happening after actual cowards have bombed buildings trying to stop people from speaking freely and publishing cartoons.
Michael Moore is not ISIS, he is not a Terrorist - he may fight with his words, he may say stupid things that seem rather badly timed ...but you are attacking the wrong person.
Why not attack the reason for snipers?
Why not shut the fuck up and stop the war.
Or you could fill twitter and facebook with angry posts about how he is wrong for what he said.
You could report it on the freaking news that he tweeted..WTF..
Way to draw peoples attention away from things that may actually matter. Good job..
But what does matter? I don't know anymore.
Snipers kill from a distance.
Bombers set bombs then walk away.
People fire guns from moving vehicles.
Fires are set ablaze and the person moves to safety.
All of those things happen in war and we are suppose to award people medals for bravery
I absolutely believe that these people are fighting for our freedoms and deserve to be honored for what they have done for us.
But...
In this world we are forced to live in two different platforms.
The one in which we shoot to kill, the other which we convict and send to jail for doing the same thing.
How are we suppose to understand how to live?
How are we suppose to believe one person is a hero and another is a coward?
In war people get killed.
The other side has snipers, are they heroes or cowards?
Most do not believe in harming innocent people.. who chooses which side of the gun is innocent?
What if both sides of the gun are innocent?
They do not ask to be hurt, they do not ask to see what they see.
They just want to help.. but are they?
They just want to keep us safe..but are they?
The right people are winning and the bad guys are loosing right?
This will end soon wont it?
Killers kill without care, sympathy..empathy or remorse.
Soldiers are not killers.
They are highly trained men and women that believe they are protecting a country that they love.
They are following orders.
They are trained to.
They are fighting back - at least they believe they are.
The other side is not people just like them.. they can't be?
They can't consider the lives of the people on the other side.
But then they do...when they get home.

Such is Life & Death
Above is a sculpture by Herman Matzen.
Not located in any museum, or art gallery.
Angel of Death Victorious
is located in a cemetery.
Also known as the Hazerot Angel.
She is the magnificent marker for the Hazerot family plot.
Isn't she stunning? There is a sense of calm on her face.
Yet a feeling like her will is unbreakable - on constant guard but without fear.
I love the cemetery statues. They weather so beautifully.
She is not holding a sword, it's a torch upside down so the flame is snuffed.
To me there is an odd feeling of a statue being okay with being a statue - if that makes sense.
This is her job. She is a devoted statue...Matzen has captured this in his creation.

The City of the Drawers |
Being the type of person I am, actually knowing what the painting is about is not all that important at first.
Sometimes not knowing what the artist was depicting is better.
The first thing you think of when you see a painting is what draws you into it.
I like things that evoke a certain emotional response ... which is a mix between beauty & sadness.
Or beauty and fear.
Why?
How the hell should I know!
Just do.
The painting by Salvador Dali, to me speaks of sadness.
As if someone was saying - I had nothing to begin with yet you rummaged through me searching for that last bit of hope. Leaving me exposed and empty.
What Dali said - “The only difference between the immortal Greece and
contemporary times is Sigmund Freud, who discovered that the human body,
purely platonic at the Greece epoch, nowadays is full of secret drawers
that only the psychoanalysis is capable to open”.
I like mine better.

I am not sure what I think of this next painting.
To me there is not much beauty it in.
Pain is very prevalent , madness even.
To be honest I don't really like this one. So why am I adding it?
Because it was never meant to be seen.
Francisco De Goya painted this on his dining room wall.
It was not on canvas for all to see. It was not created 'for' anyone.
The name given to this painting - Saturn Devouring His Son-
Goya did not name it.
This painting was reproduced onto canvas after his death.
There was no explanation given to this piece. So, what if everyone is wrong and it has nothing to do with the Greek or Roman myth of Saturn eating his male children because it was foretold that one would overthrow him.
Though chances are it is.
At the same time... the man is eating what appears to be not a baby but an adult. The sex of the human being eaten is also not 100% evident.
What if it's about a giant evil thing that got off on eating humans?
(Some say that his groin area was blurred during the reproduction and the original may have depicted something a bit more... excited.)
This was 1 of 14 paintings located on the walls of Goya's house.
Collectively called The Black Paintings
I prefer this next one, which is also one of the Black Paintings
Named, again not by Goya - The Dog -
There are a few names seemingly for each piece.
Since there is no actual explanation available from Goya, everything is up for interpretation.
I see a scared little dog, in a great big world. He knows he is sinking but can not save himself.
He is looking for help. It may come...but in this case we will never know.

I can't find the original person who made this - as far as I can find is a deactivated Deviant Art account.
I shall name this 'Sad Tree'
Because it looks like a tree.. that is sad...
It's 3am..The clever part of me is sleeping.
All I think about when looking at this image is being stuck.
Being rooted into something you do not have the ability to get out of.
I found the name of the piece.
Tree Woman.
I like my name better.

Above is a still shot from a video called "Danse Macabre"
A short film by Pedro Pires
The film is disturbingly beautiful.
Though the only reason I say disturbing is that we are not suppose to see this stage as beautiful.
It's actually strange, watching as they depict what happens after death.
The cold reality of the body being cleaned and drained.
Embalmed and placed into a casket.
It really is the finally dance.
The absolute last moments of movement .
Then everything stops.
Tree Woman.
I like my name better.

One persons odd is another persons normal
Nope.. not weird at all.
Herrrreeeesss Cuckooo..
Because it's a cuckoo clock and ..seriously if I need to explain then you need to go away.
This is kinda awesome.
How awesome would this be as a table - it would not match my mish mash crap decor...but so cool.
Seriously.. could you imagine getting this in the mail?
I watch a lot of those Border Security shows, on them they have the international mail that arrives daily..
They x-ray them.
This is an alarm clock.
What if the next one isn't?
What if there is a shipment of 100 of these and only 99 are alarm clocks?
What if I stopped watching so many criminal shows?
Step this way please...
This is an area rug!
Imagine walking into a house after indulging in a few adult beverages.
A house you have never been in before.
How funny would be it be to watch people almost fall trying to avoid walking on this?
After you yell catch! and throw the bomb alarm clock at them.
Why is this not available at the Beer Store or the LCBO?
I see no reason why this is not in my fridge.
I have a thing for Rorschach designs ...I wonder what that says about me?
This is wallpaper
Cat riding a bike wearing jacket with puffy sleeves - okay now what does that say about me??
Meow.
I really like creepy things... but I am a chicken.. repeat after me.. It's only a movie
No there are not monsters under your bed.
There is nobody in the back seat of your car.
There is not someone looking in the window.. at you...right now..
I would so get these.. but they would get stolen so fast.
They need to be on a lawn.. to fulfill their Flamingo lives.
But how could I do that knowing they would be flamingonapped??
HOW??

Hans Rudolf Giger
"Giger, you are an Alien lurking inside my body, laying your futique eggs of wonder."
Just saying.. wow some of his works are seriously messed up - awesome.. but creepy.
- Born in Chur, Switzerland, Gigers formative years were spent developing his now widely known depictions of Biomechanical Erotic Surrealism.
- Before creating his more popular pieces - he prints a number of works privately under the title :
The Feast for the Psychiatrist
Giger had developed an interest in Freud and would keep a journal of his dreams.
Considering the name of this group of drawing - Giger had some rather messed up dreams.
There could be a class dedicated to interpreting his dreams or his art created by his dreams..special psychiatric sessions to be held after each class to try and bring the students back to some sort of reality
In 1967, while living in an Attic Apartment, he started work on things like this piece below.
This is called Birth Machine.
Giger believed that overpopulation would be a great threat to our world.

Birth Machine |
From a distance these look like monkeys giving you the finger..well at least to me they did.
Looking closer you see a crouching figure - not so much baby looking..more like a very skinny child with a riffle and a flight suit.
On the H.R. Giger Museum website you can see one of these figures turning as you look through the different pages.
Below is a picture from the site showing its back.
I found it very cool the amount of detail put into an already detailed piece.

The Tourist VI |
These four freaks have different levels of creep. The first one looks like a bunny caterpillar that wants to crawl on your soul.
Second one is like some strange twisted human wearing someones scull as a mask and in a second he will take it off and reveal himself as the thing that ate the thing then ripped off the face of the other thing.
I think the little guy at the bottom is cute. That is what it wants to you think. One second all cute and innocent.. next he is impaling you with his side horns and not stopping until he has gored you in half.
The last guy seems really mad. Perhaps because he really wants to bite someone but he can't close his mouth. So he also must gore with his devil horns. It does not provide him with pleasure though.. his really calling has been denied. Inside he is a cannibal but he can't chew.
Sorry, I can't be your friend. I already promised the other extremely creepy alien that I would be his friend.
I have a feeling that pissing off this female would be very very bad.
I wanna try and explain what I am looking at... but I really can't.
Wait.. I will try.
So there is this dude... he uses alien females as horses...he rides them.
There is this Alien female that lets creepy demon looking dudes rider her like a horse.
Then there is this snake type thing. It has a licking fetish.
Well, the female alien likes the snake type thing so she gores him with her boobs while he tries to lick her face.
Demon dude tries to control alien female but she is much to busy.

We all know what Tarot cards are right?
Well Gigers images were used to create a deck of super disturbing Tarot cards.
The Baphamet

Told you it was disturbing.
Awesome.. but seriously.. no
Do you want play??
Really?
Okay, click here then..
I am going to think about kittens for a second.
Okay...moving on..
Alien
Because evil and death are not enough... let's add creepy things with more than one set of teeth and really messed up looking heads.
Giger was asked by Ridley Scott to create creatures for his movie Alien.
Actually - to start with one Giger had already created in his book Necronomicon
But Scott was not aware of Gigers ability to create the props as well. So not only did he create the Aliens - he brought them to life.
Icky icky life...
I have linked everything I could think of.. hopefully through these you can find any information you may be looking for.
